Market Report – May, 2011

The Season of Violent Winds is beginning to move across the settlement occasionally forcing some scavs to take shelter from the brief but rough windstorms of grit and sand.  Regardless, a few continue to scour the land for salvage.  Others have begun to prey upon feathered scavengers brought in by the winds.  Turkey buzzards have been spotted and slain by a few hunters, yielding some meat to put in their bellies or out for sale.

If you’re scrounging through the sand and rocks around Fort Stygian’s crater, you’ve probably come across cat Yuhara and Cigi Sahara, the Savage Gypsies.  These avid scavengers maintain modest shops among the old military ruins found around Stygian.  Cat’s store, the Stygian Weapon’s Factory is exactly that, an old factory for large abandoned military weaponry near the Junkyard border.  Don’t go banging around on that junk.  Some of it might bang back.  Cigi’s salvage shop, the Gypsy Bazaar, lies to the south in a partially molten structure near the foot of the crater.  Her wares can be found in a dusty corner just inside the structure’s pitted concrete walls and twisted steel fences.

The shelves in these and other salvage shops are moderately stocked at the moment.  Prices are generally even across the board with a few extremes due to rumors on the scarcity of clobbering sticks.  On to the report…
