Finalists KittyKat Borkotron (2), Moondoggie Iger (3), VoidTraveller Seetan (1) Fighters were pitted against each other via hybrid qualification/point system this week and matches were as follows:

Remarks: Fighters were able to avoid traps for the most part of the match until about a quarter of the match in, at which point KittyKat deliberately dosed herself with gas, getting some poison along the way but also healing gas. The match proceeded for quite some time, moving to the north-eastern corner, until KittyKat tried dosing herself again with gas about half way through the fight, again being both healed and poisoned. This continued several times, moving from north-eastern corner to south-west and back again, Kittykat lucking out several times with healing gas, while Tokiko struggled on without the benefit of any healing. The fight came to a close with an extremely close call as the combattants appeared to fall at the same time, however KittyKat was found to have dropped last, allowing her to progress to the points round.

Remarks: Cigi was the first to run in to first a spike trap, then a gas trap, which dealt her poison. CCindy also receipeved poison gas and spike damage about a minute later while avoiding her opponent, but strayed in to a couple of gas traps shortly afterward in a failed attempt to heal up. While she continued to attack Cigi, the accumulated poison and trap damage was sufficient to bring CCindy down shortly afterward.

Remarks: Moondoggie was surprised early on as Jaster brought his ripper pistol to fight against a flayer. The match proceeded quickly; while initially surprising, Jaster’s pistol proved to be a liability as he was not able to switch to a melee-appropriate weapon quickly enough to present much of a threat to his opponent. Chased in to four spike traps and a couple of poison traps, Jaster failed to progress to the next round.

Remarks: The last pair of fighters for the qualifying round were able to avoid traps fairly well for the most part, despite their speed. Aposiopesis ran in to a poison trap about half way through the match but continued fighting for quite some time and at the same speed without additional run-ins with arena traps. Finally, accumulated damage from Dassina’s Kidney Burster caused Aposiopesis to expire and be disqualified for further combat. Point System:

Remarks: KittyKat ran in to multiple spike and gas traps early on, pushing htrough to exchange about a dozen swipes with her opponent, but ultimately was overtaken by her significant combined injuries.

Remarks: Immediately following her loss to VoidTraveller, KittyKat was able to hold her own against Cigi Sahara, who recieved some poison damage early on. The fight took the pair in and out of pit traps on the west side, across gas traps on the west side for both. KittyKat managed to snag some healing gas a couple of times, gaining just as many poison doses but outlasting her opponent as she laid down damage on Cigi along the south end of the arena with her flayer.

Remarks: Moondoggie and Cigi clashed along the southeastern quadrant of the arena, taking their fight to the south end along the cell gate, flayer to crowbill. Fairly tight fighting moved both fighters diagonally north-west, mostly avoiding the numerous mine, saw and gas traps, but eventually Cigi Sahara was found to be the victor after Moondoggie fell from accumulated weapons damage.

Remarks: Fresh from her fight with Cigi, Moondoggie was pitted against the Tigress of the Wastes, each displaying considerable speed chasing each other back and forth across the arena. Dassina ran in to two spikes and a gas trap early on, managing to keep up her pace for a couple of minutes, but was finally taken out of commission when she ran in to another couple of spikes.

Remarks: Both fighters chose to avoid dealing with the tight space available by attacking each other with long-range weaponry. Neither fighter strayed very far from their cell doors and neither received any saw damage. The shoot-out ended as Dassina fell first to VoidTraveller’s gun.

Remarks: The fight began slowly, as each fighter attacked the others one by one intermittently but did not stay to finish the job. Cigi ran in to a couple of mines while chased by Moondoggie and was thereafter hounded badly by Moondoggie for quite some time. Running in to a couple of mine and poison traps, she tried to turn things around and take advantage of some poison damage Moondoggie had gotten, but was unable to follow through.

Remarks: VoidTraveller pulled a pistol early on, mostly aiming at Moondoggie but then switching to a KidneyBburster and targeting both Moondoggie and KittyKat. Moondoggie fell first from damage accumulated mostly from weapons fire. After some swipes from VoidTraveller and straying in to a poison trap early on, Kittykat attempted to take advantage of the numerous gas traps to heal, however she gained several poison gas doses along with them and managed to run in to a couple of spike traps as well. While Voidtraveller alternated between a slugthrower and his Kidney Burster, KittyKat finally fell from injuries sustained from both weapons and traps, leaving VoidTraveller the winner for the second time in a row.
