Below is a short summary of the latest Community Meeting, followed by its chat logs – which have been gently edited for formatting, to put questions and answers in bold for easy skimming, and to omit greetings and farewells and other such asides. Meetings are hosted by Estate owner NeoBokrug Elytis at 2:00 pm on the first Saturday of every month at The Potato Farm in The Wastelands, and the discussion is typically divided into three main topics: Estate, Game, and Roleplay & Events. Everyone is welcome to attend!
ESTATE:
➳ The player behind KittyKat Borkotron passeed away on October 12. Sandusky has put up a cairn in Cormac in remembrance.
➳ Occupancy on the estate is holding steady.
➳ The Wastelands is sponsoring the Salvage Station event November 1 – 30, with a mini-game and unique rewards.
➳ A “Pay All The Parcels” tool is planned to let those with plots in multiple estates pay all of them, everywhere, at once..
➳ Telehub updates are still planned- and will include the in-world events calendar.
➳ Neo’s 20th Rez Day was on November 1!
GAME:
➳ The Halloween Quest was made to be easy and accessible this year: no resource cost, no EXP cost.
➳ A speedrunner feature was also added Halloween Quest, for players who wanted to challenge themselves!
➳ This year’s Halloween treat was made by Sandusky Kayvon!
➳ Maxwell Graff was a guest creator for this year’s Jack-o-Lanterns.
➳ Important note: this year’s Jack-o-Lanterns are not typical game items and are not accepted by the NPC Traders.
➳ The Quest was also a test bed for some game features.
➳ The races and skills system is still latent in the current code, and would need playtesting – which would mean that any progress made WOULD be reset.
➳ Skill development would be an intentionally-slow process requiring months of effort to advance.
➳ Leveling up a skill would also require EXP.
➳ The EXP cap may be raised to prepare for this, but could be lowered later as he tweaks.
➳ Neo hosted a Black Rider vs. Everyone event in Burnt Oak.
ROLEPLAY & EVENTS:
➳ Solemn thanks to all who came to the memorial services for KittyKat Borkotron, and who donated to the GoFundMe for her realworld memorial.
➳ In partnership with SL Syndicate, the Salvage Station shopping event returns this November, featuring a slimmed-down variation of the scavenging and crafting game.
➳ After the event is over, that special salvage – created by n0thing Ackland – and crafting system will be hosted on The Wastelands estate for a limited time!
➳ Thanks to everyone who came to Trigger Treat! And congratulations to Tora and Sandusky, winners of the Funniest and Creepiest costumes, respectively!

II. THE GAME
NeoBokrug Elytis: I have been juggling RL things with Halloween Quest things all month. I may revisit this yerars quest next year to get it closer to what I envisioned.
NeoBokrug Elytis: I wanted this year to be something anyone could do, with no real punishment for failure or SL quirks.
NeoBokrug Elytis: So it may seem easy or simple to all you seasoned folks. :)
Aposiopesis Fullstop: Man, the way this year’s been? Not upset at all. I am fine with something more an experience than a challenge.
Dassina Andel: I ❤ more obscure Guz lore.
NeoBokrug Elytis: I also added a little speedrunner thing for when you finish. It starts when the HUD equips.
NeoBokrug Elytis: And I am going to run it for 2 weeks.
Dassina Andel: Also, yes.
Aposiopesis Fullstop: Which is brilliant. So there CAN be some self-directed challenge in it.

NeoBokrug Elytis: I wanted to do a lot of camera control, but I was very much out of time. I figure you folks could use your imagination.

NeoBokrug Elytis: I had to make a cheat code for me, so I wouldn’t have to slog through the whole quest to test out certain bits.

NeoBokrug Elytis: Minor things. Back when I had races planned, I wanted each race to have a unique ability they could only use once every 6 hour or so. Like a manimal could search for a food item, a ghoul a water source, botan something meat, mutants a plant, humans a scrap. And the marker would guide them.
