A new first-time Fight Night champion finally claimed the trophy on this occasion! The finalists for Fight Night in the week of August 7th were Cigi Sahara (1st), VoidTraveler Seetan (2nd), and Kittykat Borkotron (3rd). Fighters were pitted against each other via the point system this week. The matches (and Remarks!) were as follows:
Point Rounds
Combatants | Weapons | Map | Winner |
Remarks: Tight and fast fight in the middle of the arena.
Remarks: Both combatants quickly set off some landmines before engaging in a long fight. Aki took on some poison while in one of the corners and soon hit another landmine which brought her down.
Remarks:
Remarks: Kittykat got buzz-cut by a sawblade and Darkstalker went for the gas. The fight dragged out for sometime as Darkstalker spent more time running away then actually fighting. Kittykat eventually won.
Remarks: Both women hit the sawblades and exchanged blows in several pit-fights until Aki was eventually felled by a landmine.
Remarks: Fast and furious fight between these two old adversaries. Both switched to their ranged weapons halfway through the fight in an effort to get the upper hand, eventually returning to their melee weapons to finish it off.
Remarks: In and around the many traps, enenra pursued Darkstalker who once again chose to evade combat as much as possible, provoking much frustration to his opponent and the spectators who came to watch fights, not flights. Eventually, enenra hit one too many traps and Darkstalker won.
Point Totals:
Fighter | Points |
enenra Ghost | 0 |
KittyKat Borkotron | 1 |
VoidTraveler Seetan | 2 |
Darkstalker Darkfold | 1 |
Aki Shichiroji | 0 |
Dassina Andel | 1 |
Cigi Sahara | 2 |
Elimination Round:
Remarks: Darkstalker kept his distance while Dassina and Kittykat traded hits. Kittykat took on some poison but Dassina was the first to fall. Afterwards, Darkstalker once again evaded any and all opportunities to fight Kittykat. Without the Tin Man’s firebombs to decide the fight, Sandusky and other spectators attempted to kill the nuisance. When that failed, Darkstalker was finally ejected and disqualified. It shouldn’t even have to be said but for future reference: If you participate in Fight Night, I strongly suggest you FIGHT. While evasive hit-and-run combat is a common and useful tactic, simply running away during the entire fight is a waste of everyone’s time and it will be dealt with, one way or another.
Final Round:
Remarks: After the prior absurdity, the final fight wound up being fast and brutal as everyone hit the spikes in quick succession. In the end, Cigi and Void, bleeding profusely, faced off briefly. When the harsh sounds of spikes and swing blades stopped, Cigi Sahara remained standing. A long-time participant in many Fight Nights, this was the very first Fight Night championship secured by the savage Gypsy! Congratulations to Cigi!
