Below is a short summary of the latest Community Meeting, followed by its chat logs – which have been gently edited for formatting, to put questions and answers in bold for easy skimming, and to omit greetings and farewells and other such asides. Meetings are hosted by Estate owner NeoBokrug Elytis at 2:00 pm on the last Saturday of every month at The Potato Farm in The Wastelands, and the discussion is typically divided into three main topics: Estate, Game, and Roleplay & Events. Everyone is welcome to attend!
BULLET POINTS
LAND:
➳ Since land ownership had been very slowly declining over the past year, there’s a big estate push underway to get back up to a goal of 80% occupancy.
➳ The first goal is to increase occupancy by 5% by February 2, 2020.
➳ Land now costs half as much – but includes two weeks of tier instead of four.
➳ We’ve almost reached the 5% goal!
➳ Once it’s reached, a new 5% goal and new deadline will be set, until we get back to 80%.
➳ Spread the word! The Wastelands has always grown through word-of-mouth.
GAME:
➳ New Item! To celebrate Foodmas, Sandusky has made a new Food: WL: Pumpkin Pie.
➳ Residents received a pie free as this year’s Foodmas gift, but it’s also craftable, and the recipe is public.
➳ The new Visitors Center – and its Role Play Wing – are still in progress.
➳ The latest rolling restarts seem to have brought back an old bug: not all of the scripts on a region are actually running.
➳ This may be the source of the false-positive HUD suspensions: when region performance nosedives, people moving at normal speed may get suspended for sit-teleporting, moon jumping, or otherwise going too fast.
➳ If you experience a false-positive HUD suspension, contact Neo with the specific error message you received, your exact coordinates when it broke, the SL time of suspension, where you were headed, and what game activity you were doing.
➳ Practice versions of bows and arrows are on the agenda, but are low priority.
➳ Saul the Food Trader is still dead.
ROLEPLAY & EVENTS:
➳ Early Notice – WL13B: The Wastelands’ 13th Birthday celebration will take place from Friday, January 17 through Sunday, January 19, 2020!

➳ The monthly in-character Mutant Drum Circle will take place this Monday, December 2.

➳ The Giftmas “TREE” will go up two weeks before Christmas on December 11.
➳ Sandusky Kayvon will host another Knucklehead Knockabout pugilist event in lieu of Fight Night on December 14.
➳ The Apo’s Audio Atrocities Giftmas Craptacular set will take place at The N on the evening of December 14.

It’s not something I wanted to make or ask for, but it’s something I needed to do. It’s been less than a month and we’re already really close to that first 5% occupancy gain goal!
