Below is a short summary of the latest Community Meeting, followed by its chat logs – which have been gently edited for formatting, to put questions and answers in bold for easy skimming, and to omit greetings and farewells and other such asides. Meetings are hosted by Estate owner NeoBokrug Elytis at 2:00 pm on the first Saturday of every month at The Potato Farm in The Wastelands, and the discussion is typically divided into three main topics: Estate, Game, and Roleplay & Events. Everyone is welcome to attend!
ESTATE:
➳ Stage 1 of the Community Gateway is coming along! The rough path of the tutorial is in place, and Wastelands Public Works (WLPW) members have already created some assets to help teach basic movement and interactions.
➳ The WLPW is still accepting applications for content creators and educators!
➳ Fort Stygian residents are asked to vote on whether they’d like it to become a bonus prim region. Tier would increase by 20%, and the prim allotment would go up by 50%. Contact Neo and let him know your preference!
➳ LL implemented some fixes that have improved region crossings and teleports, but Scripts Run is still low.
➳ Occupancy has increased significantly over the past month!
GAME:
➳ The WL: Pack Rat Bag has been released – an optional, premium convenience tool that you can stock with scrits, trade goods, or crafting components, and that will quickly rez them at Masheens and Traders without you having to drag and drop them over and over again!
➳ Bags are available for purchase at the Traders, Dok Aeg, and the Salvage Masheen in the Bunker. Residents and Patreon members receive discounts!
➳ You should no longer have to rez WL: Candy Scrit directly on the coin slot of the Candy Masheen.
➳ The Cinderblock Stew has also had an update to help it play nice with Pack Rat Bags.
➳ The “universal salvage script” is still in the works.
➳ Seeing more “Please re-rez me” messages when rezzing WL: Food lately? It’s likely a region lag issue, possibly related to how bad Scripts Run has been.
➳ Seeing rolling restart warnings when equipping the HUD lately – even when it’s not Tuesday? Neo’s looking into it.
➳ NOT seeing Dune Trapper crates lately? Neo’s looking into that, too.
➳ Saul the Food Trader is still dead.

NeoBokrug Elytis: Starting with estate stuff…
NeoBokrug Elytis: The community gateway is seeing progress every day, it took me a while to get the administrative stuff set up, but quite a few folks are onboard as Wastelands Public Works (WLPW) members, and are building stuff for the community gateway and ultimately the residents here.
NeoBokrug Elytis: Our primary focus right now is basic orientation, which teaches an avatar how to move, cam around, and interact with Second Life.
Tintosha (tayasha.tammas): Oh that’s nice :)
NeoBokrug Elytis: So far we’ve build a crude “path” for that, and assets are being built; as well as interactions that show people how to do things without words.

NeoBokrug Elytis: This next month we should see a lot more progress on that front, because a couple weeks were eaten up just getting things together.

NeoBokrug Elytis: Small updates were made to the Candy Masheen. You no longer need to rez Scrit directly on the coin slot (but it helps), and I’ve updated it to the “modern” version of accepting salvage. The Candy masheen was one of the hold-outs for the old ways of doing things, and would frequently give me false positives about Candy Scrit being lost.
NeoBokrug Elytis: Wether or not they were actually lost, I would typically refund them anyway.

NeoBokrug Elytis: Going hand in hand with that update (but a few weeks before it) is the WL: Pack Rat Bag. It is a uber premium convenience game item. Basically it rezzes stuff for you, and is most useful for traders, the stew, healing masheen, or candy masheen where you need to rez like 50 items. This WL: Pack Rat Bag does cost money, but you absolutely do not need it to play the game.

NeoBokrug Elytis: One pro-ish-tip that’s part of the Pack Rat Bag instructions is to auto-accept inventory offers. I Absolutely do not know if that will help, but I would like to think it does.
