➳ The method of joining the Ruin Nation roleplay group will soon change so that it’s by clicking on an inworld object instead of by IMing the Unbridled Rage bot.
➳ Once the Roleplay Tutorial is finished, potential members will need to complete that tutorial to get the group invite.
➳ Maenas’ scrap-interpretation readings have resumed, still sporadically.
➳ Neo may show a special screening of something at 3pm on Friday, October 7, at Burnt Oak Drive-In.
➳ Scrim Pinion and Aposiopesis Fullstop are hosting a Covers Vs. Mashups dual DJ set at The Junkyard Stage at 4pm SLT on Friday, October 7.
➳ All October, Gomi Mfume‘s Sunday double features will be horror films: typically one esteemed one, followed by one… less well-regarded.

NeoBokrug Elytis: Starting with land, occupancy is remaining stable. Which is nice. However, November is around the corner and I expect the next two months to slump a bit. I will be pleasantly surprised if that’s not the case.

NeoBokrug Elytis: What they do is they allow you the land owner to put something out for halloween, and when a visitor visits your spot and says “trick or treat”, it will dispense what’s inside. It’s super configurable, super flexible and it’s instructions are given to you when you grab it.

II. THE GAME

NeoBokrug Elytis: Movin’ on to game stuff — I haven’t worked on game stuff at all this month. But, tangentially I am working with things that can enhance game stuff.

NeoBokrug Elytis: And while working on a lot of this, I had to make updates to estate bot code. I’ve added a few new features — and I had a crazy idea to perhaps utilize them to give folks group tags to earn. That would assume I start tracking certain elements of the game. One thing I thought about was keeping a rolling tally of buzzards killed. Where whoever has the most kills in the past month, would earn that tag. Whoever had it, would lose it.

NeoBokrug Elytis: As much as I love the bots, I also don’t want to eat up an avatar spot on a region — plus there’s always the issue if my connection ever falls offline.

NeoBokrug Elytis: And while animesh “bots” would be nice, I think they may just have to be for smaller things. There’s a nice level of interactivity bots have that LSL scripts and objects can’t do.
NeoBokrug Elytis: And while I can’t promise gutter will work on any new game stuff; I can say he is SUPER excited to work with some ideas he’s had for a long time.

Sketchkat Blackflag: in the place I used to look after, the npc’s were animesh models that just had an idle animation, had to bump them to get their script rolling, and they’d have a 5-minute cool down in case of spammage x3

NeoBokrug Elytis: This year, I am going to use an old halloween quest I made — so if you missed out on them before, now is your chance to experience. I have a few under my belt, and I will try to pick once that hasn’t been done in a long time.

NeoBokrug Elytis: I will at some point change how people can get in to the Ruin Nation group. For now they may jhust need to click an inworld item, and the bot will send an invite. (one of those changes I talked about)
