➳ The Wastelands’ 16th Birthday celebration, WL16B, will take place January 20 – 22, 2023! Slots are filling up, but if you’d like to host an event, contact Neo or Apo with your preferred time slot and available time range ASAP!
➳ Linden Lab has refreshed our information on the Destination Guide and added us to the Editor’s Picks!  Expect some newcomers at The Bunker.
➳ Neo may set up a gallery parcel and share his slideshow script for residents to show off some things from the history of The Wastelands.
➳ After its long hiatus, Neo is hosting Fight Night again – but may alternate it with media events.
➳ The Oracle has also returned after a hiatus, interpreting fortunes from scavenged scrap on occasional Sundays at noon.

Giftmas Celebrations
➳ The boiler “TREE” has gone up in Fort Stygian! Everyone is welcome to decorate it with a 1-LI item – and to leave a gift for others!
➳ Irk the Mutant has rolled up Bleedy The Dirtman, a holiday ho-ho-horror everyone can help decorate, at his place in The Great Fissure.
➳ Apo will inflict this year’s iteration of a Burnt Oak Drive-In tradition on Friday the 16th.  A terrible, terrible tradition.
➳ The Apo’s Audio Atrocities Giftmas Craptacular, an extra-long gauntlet of holiday music from entirely too many genres, will descend upon The N on Saturday the 17th.
➳ In whatever fashion this year’s collectables become obtainable, they will start spawning on December 18.
➳ Gomi plans to deliver us some festively foresaken films at Burnt Oak Drive-In on Sunday, December 25th – if not on Sunday the 18th, as well.
➳ The “TREE” and any game elements will likely be picked up again late on New Year’s Day.

I. THE ESTATE

NeoBokrug Elytis: IT’S… TIME.
NeoBokrug Elytis: As per the usual there will be three main categories of discussion for the community meeting. Estate & Land, The Game, Roleplay & Events; with time for questions between each category. RP & Events is sort of an open floor ordeal unless I have something important to say.
NeoBokrug Elytis: To start, occupancy had it’s typical winter dip finally — but not by all that much. Which is nice.
NeoBokrug Elytis: The initial purchase price of land has gone up by L$ 1 per LI for the parcel, not the ongoing tier price, but the purchase price.
NeoBokrug Elytis: This should allow residents a better chance at undercutting me, and hopefully recouping some of their investment.
NeoBokrug Elytis: Its also the start of allowing me to potentially bring back the referral program we once had.
NeoBokrug Elytis: And offering occasional sales here and there, to maybe offset the slower months of SL.
NeoBokrug Elytis: Since the land purchase price was reduced to just 2 weeks of tier, I’ve learned it’s not so much the initial purchase price of land that keeps people from buyin’, but the ongoing costs.

NeoBokrug Elytis: Modifiers will change how a lot of things affect you with the HUD on. You can be non-typed, which is what everyone is now.
Aposiopesis Fullstop: So far, we’ve been fortunate with that, Moo. I think an actual birthday event only got griefed once, that I can recall?
NeoBokrug Elytis: But if you chose a race you’ll get a bunch of +/- modifiers to certain things, with an overall 5% bonus, and a special ability probably.
