Below is a short summary of the latest Community Meeting, followed by its chat logs – which have been gently edited for formatting, to put questions and answers in bold for easy skimming, and to omit greetings and farewells and other such asides. Meetings are hosted by Estate owner NeoBokrug Elytis at 2:00 pm on the first Saturday of every month at The Potato Farm in The Wastelands, and the discussion is typically divided into three main topics: Estate, Game, and Roleplay & Events. Everyone is welcome to attend!
ESTATE:
Regions Going Offline
➳ Due to lower-than-expected growth, The Sand Seas, Bitter Ridge, and Malady Bog will be taken offline this week to preserve the long-term health of the estate.
➳ The Sand Seas and Bitter Ridge go down on the 10th, Malady Bog on the 12th.
➳ All affected residents have been informed and will be allowed to move for free, or will be compensated for their remaining tier.
➳ Each of these regions had already gone down and come back again in some capacity; if there’s an uptick in occupancy next year and increased demand, Malady Bog will return.
➳ Other themed communities have been struggling much more over the last couple years.
➳ As always, if you have friends elsewhere in SL, show them around!
GAME:
➳ Sandusky and Neo will be working together to bring cactus spawns and dust devils to Cormac.
➳ Neo will once again modify Dok Aeg’s quests to remove the locations in the offlined sims.
➳ Wastelanders once again found platters piled with food on Foodmas – including the new WL: Baby Bird Dragon Feet!.
➳ There are new LL functions that could allow for many game enhancements, but Neo would have to recode everything that spawns.
➳ If he did, however, he could make it so raw foods go bad – unless preserved by smoking, salt-packing, canning, or cooking into a meal.
➳ High-BV craftable cooking or canning stations could potentially be made, and landowners could have them on their plots.
➳ Looted items could automatically attach, detach, and enter the inventory without being offered first.
➳ Limited-edition Giftmas collectibles will start spawning a week before Christmas, ending in the new year.
➳ Giftmas Scrit and the Giftmas Masheen will also appear again, allowing a chance to snag a previous year’s collectible!
➳ New locations are still welcomed for Aeg’s Potion Quest! If you’re a landowner and you’d like your location to be part of the task, see the relevant page of the Wiki for more details! (Already submitted your location? Please resend it; it was lost in the hard drive crash!)
ROLEPLAY & EVENTS:
➳ Dozens of Dust Devils have been seen swirling through the Sand Seas – and the winds may soon make the region impassible….
➳ Some of the same unsettling corpse-roots seen in the Battle For Burnt Oak were also spotted – grey and dead, but still – in Malady Bog. The swamps may not be safe…
➳ For several spans, the Foodmas platter has had an unsigned letter attached. This span, it was signed – by Saul, who’s still alive out there somewhere.
➳ The three-day party gauntlet of WL18B: The Wastelands’ 18th Birthday will take place January 17-19, 2025! Interested in performing? Contact Neo or Apo!
➳ Ccindy plans to host a Degenesis pen & paper roleplay campaign once or twice a month on Sundays at noon. The story takes place in Europe and Africa 500 years after the apocalypse. Anyone interested in playing can contact her for details!

Giftmas Celebrations
➳ The boiler “TREE” will appear somewhere on the estate on December 11! Help decorate it, and/or leave a freebie for all to enjoy! (There will be a more-normal tree in Caledon, as well.)
➳ Irk shall once again roll up Bleedy The Dirtman, that we may all help decorate him. Or just bask in the holiday horror!
➳ Giftmas collectibles will start spawning on December 18 – as will Giftmas Scrit.
➳ The Apo’s Audio Atrocities Giftmas Craptacular, an extra-long set of weird festive music, shall torment all at The N on Saturday the 21st.
➳ Gomi will inflict a dread Burnt Oak Drive-In tradition on the 22nd as part of her double feature!.
➳ Neo intends to host a small event on Christmas day in Caledon – music, or perhaps a movie.
➳ The “TREE” and any game elements will likely be picked up again on New Year’s Day.

But you know, everyone was affected by the economy or RL issues, and the growth I thought we’d have didn’t pan out as well as I had hoped.
Aposiopesis Fullstop: Yar, similar. But we’re here, we have land when we can afford it, we do interesting things for others, we attend others’ interesting things – that’s enough, and more than.
