I. THE ESTATE

NeoBokrug Elytis: As per the usual we’ll speak of the three main aspects of The Wastelands: Land & Estate, The Game, RP & Events — with time for comments and questions in between.

NeoBokrug Elytis: This past month had a lot of tier work for Caledon and New Toulouse that bled into Our own tier payment systems here in The Wastelands. At least one of the tier panels now say what the current rate is, my brain is awash in the events of this past month and the fine details have fallen out.
NeoBokrug Elytis: I think the normal panel now is transparent about the LindeX.
NeoBokrug Elytis: Where it hadn’t been before.
Aposiopesis Fullstop: That’s a nice bit of extra info to have!
NeoBokrug Elytis: All of this work is FINALLY done, and just in time for the Halloween quest.

NeoBokrug Elytis: Occupancy has slipped a bit, but we also have an ad-board at The Engine room, so we’re seeing some visitors come in from there. :)

NeoBokrug Elytis: The Wastelands has been invited to participate in a reimagined Salvage Station event as well. So we will for sure see a lot of new folks coming here from that. I will be lending my scripting chops to help out with their event.

NeoBokrug Elytis: Having said that, I did finish that project as well this past month, and I did forget about it myself.

NeoBokrug Elytis: You can change how Unbridled Rage notifies you, you can drop the 7th, 3rd, and 2nd days from notifications. But not the 1st or less.

NeoBokrug Elytis: I know a lot of folks have multiple parcels across the estates I operate, and I think a quick afternoon project is to make the “pay all across all estates” tool an option. It may be done already and I just need to change 1 value in the panel. I was thinking ahead when I had to make adjustments to the systems this month.

NeoBokrug Elytis: Also LL has some halloween last names if you wanna buy ’em. Ghoul, Zombie, etc. :)

II. THE GAME

NeoBokrug Elytis: Movin’ on! This years Halloween quest is in development. I’ve seen previews of the rewards, things are moving along swimmingly. My schedule is very clear, and the halloween quest is my primary focus now.
NeoBokrug Elytis: There’s also this years trick-or-treating scripts, free for all current residents of course. Some folks have given me their landmarks.
NeoBokrug Elytis: Check the previous notices for the details.
Dassina Andel: When will WL: Baby Bird Dragon Feet go into “circulation”? It’s been almost a year since the first few were handed out, with no way to acquire more.
NeoBokrug Elytis: Good question. Unsure. :)
NeoBokrug Elytis: You should also expect to trick or treat at the NPCs too.
Aposiopesis Fullstop: I always forget about that!
NeoBokrug Elytis: I will try to add their LMs this year.
Aposiopesis Fullstop: And I assume the Black Rider will be setting people on fire again on the 31st itself?
NeoBokrug Elytis: Once I get done with the quest, I am going evaluate wether or not I want to make a trick or treat HUD that’ll guide people by walkin’.
NeoBokrug Elytis: I hope so!

NeoBokrug Elytis: New Toulouse is a new add for the trick-or-treating as well.
NeoBokrug Elytis: Good swamp mud there.
NeoBokrug Elytis: The Tides of Time region is a region that spans the Victorian Era Caledon with the 1920s of New Toulouse. It will have a small cave system to lead to and from the wastelands. However, roleplay canonically, there’s not time travel. So if you want to visit, it’s going to be a dream in character. :)
NeoBokrug Elytis: But OOC, it’s a nice bridge bewteen the estates.
Dassina Andel: Will pumpkins start spawning the standard one week before Halloween?
Aposiopesis Fullstop tries to loosen the valve on the Pumpkin Spigot.
NeoBokrug Elytis: They should. I don’t know that they will be required to start the quest. Everything quest wise for bigger events will just have longer timers.

NeoBokrug Elytis: I gotta say it is really nice to have this whole tier thing behind me. All i want to do now is create fun things.

NeoBokrug Elytis: Oh, and there will be a tie-in with Salvage Station in November. Kind of a parallel salvage spawn for that.

NeoBokrug Elytis: This past year has been especially hard on me IRL. But as the tier stuff ended, so did a lot of the RL stuff.

NeoBokrug Elytis: So as I mentioned, my schedule is pretty clear.

III. THE ROLEPLAY & EVENTS

And I’d be more than amenable to having other people host some of the sub-events! So if you’d like to host some punching, be an auctioneer, or if you’ve got some other sort of old-timey rustic flavored fun in mind you’d like to wrangle, lemme know!

Aposiopesis Fullstop: I guess my main advice is, especially since it’s only available for a week, something that doesn’t take *too* long to do might be best all around Particularly if you can fail, and have to wait a day to retry.
Dassina Andel: While enjoyable, Burnt Oak attack really needs some tweaks.

Aposiopesis Fullstop: Sometimes it’s hard to carve out a solid half-hour to hour – even *once* a week.

Aposiopesis Fullstop: That said, I did also like that one where we got to venture out and meet Swane!

Aposiopesis Fullstop: That was a big long multi-part thing as well, with loooots of options to pick. But … lore!
