Below is a short summary of the latest Community Meeting, followed by its chat logs – which have been gently edited for formatting, to put questions and answers in bold for easy skimming, and to omit greetings and farewells and other such asides. Meetings are hosted by Estate owner NeoBokrug Elytis at 2:00 pm on the first Saturday of every month at The Potato Farm in The Wastelands, and the discussion is typically divided into three main topics: Estate, Game, and Roleplay & Events. Everyone is welcome to attend!
ESTATE:
➳ Occupancy is up, and is expected to keep trending a bit upwards into spring.
➳ Neo plans to divide some parcels in The Junkyard and The Wastelands proper into smaller 256 LI parcels.
➳ Some of North Yard and Hambone Slough’s parcels could also get subdivided eventually, but that would be more difficult.
➳ Work continues on the Northgate Community Gateway, and Neo’s used pathfinding to create an NPC that will run the course as an example.
➳ Neo continues to wrap up more RL and non-Wastelands project to free up more time for Wastelands development.
➳ Some newer EEP features have been implemented: visitors should now be able to see our custom moon, even if they haven’t opted into the Experience.
➳ Neo needs to take a “deep dive” into the Windlight and EEP to investigate other issues and to try to establish a new modifiable Estate day cycle.
GAME:
➳ Some of the same problems are plaguing the new test of pathfinding as the old tests: it doesn’t navigate well on land with many different owners.
➳ The animesh rat Neo planned to create as a huntable creature is 51 LI, which is too high to be of any real use.
➳ Neo still needs to make LL’s fix worked and that scripts from a temporary attachment no longer keep running when the attachment is removed.
➳ If so, he will bring back the DoT attachment effects.
➳ The tests of LinkSet Data continue, and Neo may be able to roll out the weapon rebalancing soon.
➳ Neo has not yet investigated or determined the cause of the wrong-person deathaports, but he has an idea of the reason.
➳ Sometime in the future, Neo wants to implement code that will determine if an avatar is in the sun – and that will have an effect on them if they don’t get into the shade.
ROLEPLAY & EVENTS:
➳ The Red Revival returns on Saturday, April 22! Be a Ghoul for a day – or have your character “heed The Call,” volunteer for some affectionate ritual sacrifice, and potentially become a Ghoul from then on!
➳ Anyone interested in DJing for it – or in potentially going Ghoul – can contact Apo to make arrangements.
➳ Things have been somewhat quiet, but are likely to pick up through spring before the typical summer slump.
➳ Apo is finishing up a notecard with information on how to DJ in Second Life, and it will be sent out in a Group Notice when ready.
➳ Irk hosted an in-character Mutant Drum Circle recently – and the troublesome Uncle Smirk was seen again.
➳ Fight Night is still only going to be an occasional event with no fixed schedule for attempts.
➳ Gomi’s HOSTILE BROADCAST event is featuring obscure and indie metal bands all through March.
➳ Reminder: The roleplay character template has been added to the Wiki – add yours today! Or review it to see who’s who and get some ideas for interactions.

I. THE ESTATE
NeoBokrug Elytis: IT’S… TIME.
Mutsy Kaligawa: \o/
Mutsy Kaligawa: time for the bleating
NeoBokrug Elytis: Starting with estate stuff!
NeoBokrug Elytis: Occupancy is up. Seems about right for February. Some folks comin’ back online, others grabbing more land, etc.
Aposiopesis Fullstop: Nice!
Mutsy Kaligawa: I grabbed more :P
Sheala (sheala.olivieri): Need more
Sandling Honey: : >
NeoBokrug Elytis: I still want to chop up a few parcels in The Wastelands and The Junkyard to tiny parcels. But I haven’t had the time to get to it. Not a whole bunch just a few.
Sketchkat Blackflag: ooh~
Facemelt (hivejunker): JY tiny plots would be ace
NeoBokrug Elytis: There’s a couple already Face, but they are occupied.
Mutsy Kaligawa: i think it’s worth it Neo!
Facemelt (hivejunker): Hi5!
Dassina Andel: Define “tiny”
NeoBokrug Elytis: Each region has a few actually.
Memory Harker harkens.
Sheala (sheala.olivieri): Heyo, Dass!
NeoBokrug Elytis: 512s in The Wastlelands and JY.
Adogeoto Darkmoon (adogeoto.mcmahon): rawr
NeoBokrug Elytis: The Fissure and Fort Stygian have 256s, and I think they’re at a good amount.
NeoBokrug Elytis: But they’re also fully occupied too. Soo… idk!
Kotcheff (ramson.rover): Indeed! Hi!
Sheala (sheala.olivieri): Heyo!
NeoBokrug Elytis: I will leave them alone, and focus on those two regions.
Mutsy Kaligawa: sounds like a plan! :D
Sketchkat Blackflag thumbs ups.
NeoBokrug Elytis: Part of me wants to consider splitting some of the big parcels in Hambone and North yard, especially NY, but that’s kind of a nightmarish endeavor.
Sheala (sheala.olivieri) whispers: This tune is beautiful…
Mutsy Kaligawa: ughh
NeoBokrug Elytis: I am reluctant, because it is difficult.
Memory Harker smiles at Sheala. :)
Memory Harker: You should be reluctant, you’ve got your mitts FULL, Tin Man!
Mutsy Kaligawa: hmm, big circles so far, you’ll have to rethink completly or slip the circles in half?
Sheala (sheala.olivieri): <3
Mutsy Kaligawa: uh, typos sorry
Mutsy Kaligawa: split*
Sketchkat Blackflag: I barely visit north yard… so yeah, maybe having smaller plots might help?
NeoBokrug Elytis: I am still poking at North Gate, I got an updating pathfinding done to have an “Example ghost dummy” run the current path of orientation, so folks can get an idea of what to do … better.
Sketchkat Blackflag: ooh!
Aposiopesis Fullstop: Ooh…
Mutsy Kaligawa: :O
Sheala (sheala.olivieri): Nice!
Dassina Andel: WL: Hazard Course.
NeoBokrug Elytis: It’s also a good base for those critters I mentioned for the game last time. There’s still some things to work on, and unforunately they seem like the same old problems.
Sketchkat Blackflag: heckie
NeoBokrug Elytis: That being a region chopped up and owned by lots of people. But on the other hand I ran across the entire estate several times, and didn’t lose my follower.
NeoBokrug Elytis: So I think it is marginally better — but for sure does what I’ll need it to do for North Gate.
NeoBokrug Elytis: Once refine it a bit more, maybe I can squish in some new critters. That rat I wanted to use was 51 LI, and I was like… nah.
Sketchkat Blackflag: oof
Mutsy Kaligawa: oof
Mutsy Kaligawa: fat rat
Aposiopesis Fullstop: Anything animesh is going to have an LI out the wazoo, isn’t it?
Sheala (sheala.olivieri): Oh damn!
NeoBokrug Elytis: Maybe I misread it when I was playing with it, thinking it was 15
NeoBokrug Elytis: Animesh starts at 15, and costs more with complexity.
Sketchkat Blackflag: ^ that
Sheala (sheala.olivieri): Heheh XD 15, 51
Mutsy Kaligawa: yes, sad really
Aposiopesis Fullstop: Gross.
Facemelt (hivejunker): the lesser spotted blood brothers
Memory Harker giggles belatedly at “fat rat”.
NeoBokrug Elytis: Eh, I think it’s good. We just need content made for it. That rat was an attachment.
Sheala (sheala.olivieri): Oooo liking the remix so far, Sandling
Aposiopesis Fullstop: The sculptie giant rats from a billionty-two years ago would almost be better than that!
Sheala (sheala.olivieri): It’s true!
Dassina Andel: Sculpty is no bueno now.
Sheala (sheala.olivieri): Animesh is excessive
Sketchkat Blackflag: these? *gestures to rats in front of her* xD
NeoBokrug Elytis: I have slowed down a lot of RL non-WL obligations I got going on, so I have more free time for now. I think that’s about it for estate stuff. Not much going on beyond greeting new folks, and the norm.
Mutsy Kaligawa: wow, sculpty…. old
Aposiopesis Fullstop: Ooh. Not the ones I was thinking of, but those look good still!
NeoBokrug Elytis: Any questions about estate things? (And yea, we avoid sculpties except for very specific use cases these days)
Aposiopesis Fullstop: Yar, understandably. And I get why LL inflates the LI of animesh – but, man, that’s steep.
Sketchkat Blackflag: I have the mesh converter tool… maybe I can reupload these
NeoBokrug Elytis: Starting at 15 ain’t so bad for something as dynamic as Animesh.
Aposiopesis Fullstop: I hope you can find something – or get someone to make something – that doesn’t get much higher than that 15.
NeoBokrug Elytis: Animesh in general is a pain for creators, because you need to do black demon magic and use the SL avatar skeleton to make it do things.
Aposiopesis Fullstop: Hahaha
Sketchkat Blackflag nods x3
Sheala (sheala.olivieri): XD
Mutsy Kaligawa: I do love the crab though :)
Memory Harker: :D
NeoBokrug Elytis: Anne/Aki is a necromancer, pulling apart all the bones, and rearranging them into a different creature.
Sheala (sheala.olivieri) see’s a Rudy
Sheala (sheala.olivieri): Heya!
Mutsy Kaligawa: oh yes, a wizz at animesh
Aposiopesis Fullstop: Hahaha!
RudyB: hey Sheala
Mutsy Kaligawa: I can’t wait for the day I see a sandworm like that crab >o>
Sketchkat Blackflag: O.O;
NeoBokrug Elytis: But yeah, it’s a metric butt-ton of work. Because once you reassemble the skeleton, you need to do __ALL__ the animations for it.
Facemelt (hivejunker): i knew a guy who was a necromancer… oh no, wait not necromancer… nvm
Sheala (sheala.olivieri): That’d be awesome!
Aposiopesis Fullstop: Hahaha
Sheala (sheala.olivieri): Heheh XD
NeoBokrug Elytis: Movin’ on to game stuff!
II. THE GAME
Mutsy Kaligawa: lol
Mutsy Kaligawa: ah, the game!
Drifter (wastelanddrifter): le jeu
NeoBokrug Elytis: I already mentioned the pathfinding thing I was working on. It’s technically the 14th iteration of my attempt to make pathfinding work on the estate. Even then it’s pseudo pathfinding, because it’s only borrowing a function, and not actual pathfinding. It works… okay. One concession I had to make so far is to have it ignore dynamic objects. Otherwise people are going to try to box in whatever they’re fighting with prims.
NeoBokrug Elytis: It did cause me to visit quite a few of the roads in The Wastelands and The Junkyard and set them to static and walkable. I don’t think I’ve had to do that before because all current things that do any pathfinding, are on the homesteads.
Facemelt (hivejunker): *if target spawns object, use electricity attack
Mutsy Kaligawa: Wasteland game, got to salvage the crates! *sings to the tune of the Pokemon theme*
Sketchkat Blackflag: xD
Memory Harker: :D
NeoBokrug Elytis: And because of the way their internal logic works, they might jump far to stay on areas they know they can pass on. One difficult thing for me is the really crowded non-homestead regions. Do I want rats on them? Yeah. But I think the very nature of the regions MAY still cause too many problems.
NeoBokrug Elytis: And the problems will just be an object warping around you in the middle of a fight in certain scenarios.
Mutsy Kaligawa: hmm, is’nt that what rats do though?
NeoBokrug Elytis: Haha
Aposiopesis Fullstop: Is that from their efforts to stay only on infrastructure land?
NeoBokrug Elytis: No. it’s them trying to avoid land that is dangerous to them.
Aposiopesis Fullstop: Ahhh, I see.
NeoBokrug Elytis: Or, land where it can’t find a waypoint in pathfinding.
Drifter (wastelanddrifter): I try to avoid dangerous land too.
NeoBokrug Elytis: I’ll keep working on it, because as it is now it’s better than what I’ve got. I did start fresh on these from scratch, scripting wise.
Sketchkat Blackflag: :o wow
NeoBokrug Elytis: Though I am still borrowing a few complex functions with regards to land settings when it scans on boot up.
NeoBokrug Elytis: I think that’s about it for game stuff. I still gotta turn on the old DoTs again, but only after I make sure that memory is being released from avatars properly.
Memory Harker: >.>
Memory Harker: <.<
NeoBokrug Elytis: Turning DoTs on, being the… visible effectys.
Aposiopesis Fullstop: Hahaha! Yeah, Memory! Get offa them avatars! Don’t make me get the hose!
NeoBokrug Elytis: I look forward
Mutsy Kaligawa: Sounds good Neo, do what you can ❤ :)
Memory Harker: Heeeee!
NeoBokrug Elytis: to seeing folks on fire.
Memory Harker: HAHAHA
Memory Harker burns gloriously.
NeoBokrug Elytis: hahaa
Sketchkat Blackflag: xD
Mutsy Kaligawa: hahah Memory xD
NeoBokrug Elytis: I’ve been doing a lot of work with llLinksetData, so I have a good grasp on that, and maybe … MAYBE can roll out those nerfs I mentioned soon. Haha
Mutsy Kaligawa: OωO
Aposiopesis Fullstop: Oh, did you figure out why it was using more memory than before?
Facemelt (hivejunker): oh, the “if dass {reduce damage output}” functions?
Mutsy Kaligawa: nerfs = guns that shoot foam bullets?
NeoBokrug Elytis: I have an idea, only because I am calling a different swathe of functions to apply the inline “weapons update”
Aposiopesis Fullstop: Ahhh.
Memory Harker: Heee, Facemelt! XD
NeoBokrug Elytis: I mean I technically could face, but I don’t want to waste more script memory.
Sketchkat Blackflag: xD
Facemelt (hivejunker): hah
Dassina Andel: I sense a lot of “beta testing” in my future. >.>
Aposiopesis Fullstop: “Nerfing” means “lowering the damage or range of a weapon to make it less powerful in order to balance the game better.”
NeoBokrug Elytis: So before I do that I need to make sure I don’t crash the HUD. I do have room in other scripts and that may almost be better.
Aposiopesis Fullstop: Haha, not crashing is important!
NeoBokrug Elytis: I’ll figure it out.
Mutsy Kaligawa: tiger to guinea pig?
NeoBokrug Elytis: Also, Cedar Pollen is calming the fuck down finally. I almost feel normal now.
Drifter (wastelanddrifter): Tiger to sand cat
Aposiopesis Fullstop: Hooray!
NeoBokrug Elytis: Which after being miserable since December, feels liberating.
Mutsy Kaligawa: ah, then I guess that’s why they call those Nerf guns … Nerf
Sketchkat Blackflag: \o/
NeoBokrug Elytis: Any questions about game stuff?
Aposiopesis Fullstop: Are there still plans to make some new Windlight things? I know LL fixed something at some point…
Memory Harker: So glad about that, Neo. STUPID, STUPID CEDAR.
Mutsy Kaligawa: oh that’s so good to hear Neo :)
NeoBokrug Elytis: I actually have new windlight updates on the region (that I forgot to mention), but all non-experience visitors should see the moon now.
NeoBokrug Elytis: Before you needed to be part of the experience to see it.
Aposiopesis Fullstop: Oh, neat!
Sketchkat Blackflag: neato :D
NeoBokrug Elytis: It’s doing some weird things at higher elevations. I worry that may be a bug, or conflicting with other things.
Aposiopesis Fullstop: I have a hard time *finding* it sometimes, still, but yay. :D
Memory Harker: :D
Aposiopesis Fullstop: Yeah, the sun goes all Super Mario 3 desert-level at 1000m.
Sketchkat Blackflag: lmao
Memory Harker: XD
NeoBokrug Elytis: Which means I need to do a deep dive on the windlight anyway. I was thinking that 512m and below would be whatever the RP weather says. HOPEFULLY I can have that be done, because the new functions are less graceful with transitions.
Aposiopesis Fullstop: That’s a reasonable height. It’s the threshold for OOC skyboxes, after all.
NeoBokrug Elytis: I think 3500 would be the “base track” for the day cycle, which is something I NEED for the new windlight functions to apply weather to.
NeoBokrug Elytis: 3500+
NeoBokrug Elytis: Where 3000-3500 will still be the dark layer.
NeoBokrug Elytis: I know gutter expressed interest in working with me on a new windlight a month or so ago. But I also know playing with windlights and doing a full day cycle is a gigantic pain in the ass.
NeoBokrug Elytis: Like Animesh.
Sketchkat Blackflag: aye x3 but… maybe worth it at least for the roleplay part
NeoBokrug Elytis: Heh, being in the sun too long will affect you at some point, game wise.
Aposiopesis Fullstop: I know he made some before, and they looked really good.
Aposiopesis Fullstop: Ooooh…
NeoBokrug Elytis: The code is there, but it does nothing so far.
Sketchkat Blackflag: and possibly “too cold”
NeoBokrug Elytis: Yup
Aposiopesis Fullstop: Two questions: 1) can there be a shabby WL: Parasol and B) can I hit people over the head with it. :V
Facemelt (hivejunker): that’d be amazing
NeoBokrug Elytis: hahaha
Sketchkat Blackflag: xD
Rax Stooge: hahaha
Sketchkat Blackflag: at least a hat
NeoBokrug Elytis: I was just gunna raycast some lines from the sun, to see if you’re in the shade.
Aposiopesis Fullstop: Questionably-sourced sunscreen.
Aposiopesis Fullstop: !
Sketchkat Blackflag: XD
Memory Harker: :D
NeoBokrug Elytis: I think of a lot of little dumb things like that.
Aposiopesis Fullstop: They sound fun! I hope you get to add them in someday.
Facemelt (hivejunker) ponders a new snake oil business plan
NeoBokrug Elytis: Let’s see, any other questions about game stuff?
The Mutant Witch of the Wastes (ccindy.pfeffer): Are we dead yet?
NeoBokrug Elytis: Ye.
The Mutant Witch of the Wastes (ccindy.pfeffer): Ok
Aposiopesis Fullstop refers to last month’s and last year’s logs…
Aposiopesis Fullstop: Oh yeah
Aposiopesis Fullstop: Have you had the chance to look into the wrong-person deathaport situation?
NeoBokrug Elytis: Nope. I have an idea about it though.
Drifter (wastelanddrifter): Digital curse I tell you
Facemelt (hivejunker) imagines neo’s robot lair full of whiteboards
NeoBokrug Elytis: I do have one RL. It’s old and dusty right now.
The Mutant Witch of the Wastes (ccindy.pfeffer): nothing is white in that lair
Aposiopesis Fullstop: haha!
NeoBokrug Elytis: It’s all mostly notepad++ text files.
Sketchkat Blackflag: ahaha xD
Aposiopesis Fullstop: new_293463
NeoBokrug Elytis: I feel attacked
Sketchkat Blackflag: final_final_FINAL
Aposiopesis Fullstop: :V
Memory Harker: XD
Aposiopesis Fullstop: Hahaha
Facemelt (hivejunker): haha
III. THE ROLEPLAY & EVENTS
NeoBokrug Elytis: Movin’ on to role play and events. Before we open the floor; things have been a bit slow this past month. From my observations of previous years that seems normal. Spring break is coming up, so we’re going to have a decent influx of people with time to kill.
Aposiopesis Fullstop: And then we kidnap them so they stick around, yes? Yes.
NeoBokrug Elytis: Basically occupancy and event participation should be picking up from here until summer.
NeoBokrug Elytis: Yes. :)
Drifter (wastelanddrifter): skimmed over that and read as ‘decent influx of people to kill’
Aposiopesis Fullstop: I mean, potentially also that.
NeoBokrug Elytis: Summer is it’s own minor stagnation, as folks go on vacations.
Sketchkat Blackflag: xD
Aposiopesis Fullstop: And as some weirdos actually WANT to go out under the accursed burning daystar.
Drifter (wastelanddrifter): ‘I hate outside! I hate it!’
Aposiopesis Fullstop: Hahaha, precisely!
NeoBokrug Elytis: Haha
Facemelt (hivejunker): i’ve heard tell of “daylight”
Kurk (ironblood.mechanique): “the accursed burning daystar” i like that.
Memory Harker: :D
Aposiopesis Fullstop: Me too, Face. It’s like moonlight, but without the middleman?
NeoBokrug Elytis: Open floor for RP and events, until 2:55, then everyone get out of the arena. We’re going to have Fight Night at 3pm.
Memory Harker knows that Apo for a stunning skald, always borning the best words and descriptions.
Memory Harker: Perfectly in keeping with this music, btw
The Mutant Witch of the Wastes (ccindy.pfeffer): Outside. is that where the Pizzaguy lives?
Memory Harker curtsies to Sandling. SO GOOD, YOU!
Sandling Honey: =D <3
Aposiopesis Fullstop: Pretty early notice, but time is weird and flows strangely these days: The Red Revival will return on Saturday, April 22! Be a Ghoul for a day – or forever, if you want your character to “heed The Call” and potentially become a Ghoul from then on out!
The Mutant Witch of the Wastes (ccindy.pfeffer): heya
Memory Harker: Oh jeeez, already? o.O
Memory Harker: Tiiiiiime! AIEEEEE!
Aposiopesis Fullstop: Well, over a month from already – but getting there!
Memory Harker: *nodsnodsnods*
The Mutant Witch of the Wastes (ccindy.pfeffer) starts to collect gascans
Aposiopesis Fullstop: Hahaha
Memory Harker makes note to NOT schedule her wedding for that weekend.
Sketchkat Blackflag: pfft x3
Sandling Honey: Thankees Sketch : >
Sketchkat Blackflag thumbs ups.
Sketchkat Blackflag: ^^
Sketchkat Blackflag: did arena break
NeoBokrug Elytis: Nope.
Tristan Kuramoto: I hear a lil ol frog
Sketchkat Blackflag: how odd x3 the walls disappeared for me
NeoBokrug Elytis: LL is still working on those issues.
Aposiopesis Fullstop: Which also means that, if anyone wants to DJ for that event, lemme know! It’s a weird theme to work with, mind you – a sort of back-country tent revival meets psychedelia meets springtime celebration meets their doom – but fun.
Sketchkat Blackflag: sounds… cool xD
Aposiopesis Fullstop: Other than that, all the usual weekly events are afoot. And I’ll mention on her behalf that Gomi’s HOSTILE BROADCAST on Wednesdays at 7pm is featuring obscure and indie metal bands all through March! :D
Memory Harker: METAL MARCH!
NeoBokrug Elytis: Just throwing this out there, is anyone interested in learning how to DJ in SL?
Memory Harker: Um ….
Aposiopesis Fullstop: Oh yeah! I’m just polishing up my notecard on how to do that, I forgot to mention!
Memory Harker has to wait until SXSW has passed before she can answer.
Facemelt (hivejunker): would love a copy when done apo
Memory Harker: *sigh*
Memory Harker: SAME what Face said, Apo, por favor?
Sheala (sheala.olivieri): I have in the past but it was ages ago. Always up for advice
Aposiopesis Fullstop: Yar, sure thing! Probably get the last bits knocked out tomorrowish, I imagine.
Sketchkat Blackflag: might like that too, for research x3
Sheala (sheala.olivieri): Same here please :)
Facemelt (hivejunker): please and thank you
NeoBokrug Elytis: I wouldn’t mind hearing what you folks all like.
Aposiopesis Fullstop: Most of the difficulty is in the initial software wranglin’. If you can make it work once, it’ll probably keep working forever!
Sketchkat Blackflag: ooh :o
Memory Harker: :D
Drifter (wastelanddrifter): I”m interested in learning.
Sandling Honey: Tell that to my 48000 hertz Shoutcast songs >:(
Memory Harker: Heee, Sandling!
Aposiopesis Fullstop: Hahaha, okay, point.
Sandling Honey: Though I’ve got rickety recompression plugins
NeoBokrug Elytis: When you are done with your notecard Apo, want to send it out as a group notice?
Aposiopesis Fullstop: Ooh, sure! I like aiding and/or abetting! :D
Sketchkat Blackflag: \o/
Sheala (sheala.olivieri): XD
Memory Harker bops to this beat. :D
Sheala (sheala.olivieri): Good innit
NeoBokrug Elytis: And if you folks have questions, you can probably ask either of us, or anyone really who does regular gigs.
Memory Harker: *nodsnodsnods* Oi, Sheala, you’re not half wrong. :D
Aposiopesis Fullstop: And I’ve also got info lurking around somewhere on event hosting, too, if you want to coordinate a festival-flavored thing!
Sheala (sheala.olivieri) bops on the floor
Memory Harker: :D
NeoBokrug Elytis: Merry Rezday Sheala!
Sandling Honey: btw, you can toss that into the notecard information wise Apo
Sheala (sheala.olivieri): Oh cheers, Neo :)
Aposiopesis Fullstop: Yeah! Merry Rezmas, Sheala! :D
Sandling Honey: Specifically for Shoutcast – It does not like 48000 hertz songs
Sheala (sheala.olivieri): Heheh thanks so much, you guys ^-^
Sandling Honey: If you stick with 44100, you are fine
Sheala (sheala.olivieri): I’d love to host something in the futrue
Sheala (sheala.olivieri): For sure for sure
Sandling Honey: Otherwise you’ll hear a weird garbled sped-up broadcast
Aposiopesis Fullstop: Oh yes. I forgot the actual frequency, but I did mention that sometimes things sound fine from your end, but like earpoison inworld.
Sandling Honey: which generally causes people to disconnect from the stream soon after
NeoBokrug Elytis: 44100 I think.
Sheala (sheala.olivieri): This tune, man :D
NeoBokrug Elytis: It depends on your streaming software, it depends on a lot of things. Some actually re-encode.
Mutsy Kaligawa gets back from a sudden rl matter and reads though the chat
Mutsy Kaligawa: NeoBokrug Elytis: Just throwing this out there, is anyone interested in learning how to DJ in SL?
Sandling Honey: yeah Shoutcast by default does not resample
Mutsy Kaligawa: Yes, me, here, I do! *waves frantically*
Sheala (sheala.olivieri): I’m pretty sure this is THE Rattman singing D:
NeoBokrug Elytis: If everyone could shift east, and outward from the arena — that’d be swell. We’re about to have Fight Night in a moment.
NeoBokrug Elytis: Mutsy: Apo is working on a notecard.
Sandling Honey: But you might be able to find stuff that does – Otherwise, just re-encode high frequency songs or try and find stuff that’s not 48000
NeoBokrug Elytis: It’ll go out in notices.
Sandling Honey: Plugins that do I mean
Sandling Honey: well ‘singing’
Sketchkat Blackflag: gargling x3
Facemelt (hivejunker): sounding like a murloc
Mutsy Kaligawa: awesome, will be a big help with that, thanks guys :)
Sandling Honey: I will take that as a beautiful compliment
NeoBokrug Elytis: Thanks again for the tunes Sandling!
