The Trade Post was established shortly after Jubal Quintus was driven from his home in the Wastelands by the mutants.   In searching for a new place to settle and continue his business as a wasteland merchant Jubal traveled out to the edge of the wastes to an old rest stop by a long forgotten highway.  He persuaded Kezz Mauriac, Facemelt Loon, and Ironblood Mechanique to join him there and together they shaped the old rest stop into a fortified settlement for wasteland commerce.  After making a few trade deals and contacts from various parts of the wastelands the fledgling trade post was soon doing regular trade with nearby settlements.

It didn’t take long, however, for trouble to catch up with the traders.  As it often goes in the wastelands, those who had nothing wanted to take from those who had.  Raiders from the Open Wastes attacked a caravan, killing or capturing everyone onboard.  Soon after that, the traders stopped coming to the Trade Post and the people there ran low on supplies.  Kezz and Ironblood both left to venture out into the wastes and try to find supplies and contacts.  Facemelt, the tinkerer, left to gather better tools and other parts for his trade craft.  Only Jubal stayed behind to tend to the Trade Post and keep it running.  For several months Jubal waited there alone, looking to the horizon for any sign of his friends.

Six months after the other founders left, a woman from the Junkyard came to Jubal with trade ideas and offered to help the Trade Post pick itself up.  Seeing the benefit of such an arrangement Jubal accepted the deal with Mollyblue Etchegaray and she soon began running a trade caravan to and from the Trade Post twice weekly.  Not long after this deal was struck Kezz unexpectedly returned.  After a period of rest he was filled in on the status of the Trade Post and the new comers that were helping it along; at his suggestion Molly was made a division head in charge of supply.  Molly, Jubal, and Kezz formed a triumvirate of sorts, each overseeing a different aspect of the Trade Posts function.  While Molly ran supplies to the various trade groups Kezz was busy recruiting and training watchmen to guard the post and Jubal ran the market place, striking deals with vendors and merchants.  The Trade Post was finally functioning in a capacity that was very near it’s intended purpose.

Not long after the formation of the triumvirate, Facemelt returned from his travels.  He had found some things useful but, much like Kezz, had failed to establish any contacts outside of the wastelands in the high wastes.  Respecting his status as one of the people who helped build the Trade Post from nothing, the others offered him a position with them in the upper echelons.  Facemelt, however, had more modest dreams and instead informed them that he’d be staying on as the handyman and resident tinkerer.  He then rolled out some old pieces of paper that he had carried with him on his travels and presented a plan to enhance the Trade Post that he had worked on for several weeks out in the high wastes.

The group set to work immediately, erecting more structures and enhancing what they had already built to elevate the Trade Post to the level of a self contained wasteland town.  Nearing the end of the renovations and ever watchful for the return of Ironblood, who many consider most likely dead, the group stand ready to forge ahead as a leaders of commerce and trade in the Wastelands.
