Finalists (l to r): VoidTraveler Seetan (2nd), Cigi Sahara (3rd), Moondoggie Iger (1st)

There was no Fight Night on July 10th due to insufficient attendance.  Fight Night finalists for the following week of July 17th were Moondoggie Iger (1st), VoidTraveler Seetan (2nd place), and Cigi Sahara (3rd).  I finally managed to once again jot down some brief remarks during most of the fights.  The matches were as follows:

Round One

Combatants Weapons Map Winner
Moondoggie Iger Flayer
albertoETornato Cioc Fistwraps
Square Dance Moondoggie Iger

Remarks: alberto chose to dance ON the various spike traps instead of AROUND their sharp and deadly tips.  Moondoggie wins with a dosado.

Kittykat Borkotron Flayer
Cigi Sahara Crowbill
Square Dance Kittykat Borkotron

Remarks: Cigi also chooses to dance with the spikes before finally joining her partner as they spun their blades at one another.  Bleeding and poisoned, she fell to the ghoulish Kittykat.

VoidTraveler Seetan Kidney Burster
Zeroyel Katsu Crowbill
Catspaw VoidTraveler Seetan

Remarks: The Catspaw is a new map ringed with spikes.  The manimal and ghoul fought and chased each other in a tight circuit.  Zeroyel eventually spun into two spike traps, falling shortly thereafter.

Zendo Zhangsun Flayer
Aposipesis Fullstop Crowbill
Catspaw Aposiopesis Fullstop

Remarks: Upon entering the arena, Zendo quickly sets off a spike trap and a landmine but so does his adversary.  They eventually fight each other into one of the corners’ gastraps.  Zendo drops, his head shrouded in poisonous gas.

Redemption Rounds:

albertoETornato Cioc Kidney Burster
Cigi Sahara Crowbill
Innercircle
Cigi Sahara

Remarks: The fight starts with a brutal toe-to-toe confrontation before breaking off, Cigi carefully pursuing alberto around the arena until finally cutting him down.

Zeroyel Katsu Crowbill
Zendo Zhangsun Flayer
Fog Pit
Zeroyel Katsu

Remarks: The two fighters traded hits back and forth as they jumped back and forth, in and out of the two concentric squares of gas traps.  Zendo apparently enjoyed the noxious mixture of poison and healing gas from his prior fight, because he soon began a tactic forever known as the Hooper Gambit (named after Ridley Hooper, the first Wastelander to employ it and actually succeed on numerous occasions.)  Many attempt it, a last resort to stay in the fight but most drop from the accumulated poison.  Such was the case with Zendo.

Zeroyel Katsu Crowbill
Cigi Sahara Crowbill
Hurting and Healing
Cigi Sahara

Round Two

Kittykat Borkotron Flayer
Moondoggie Iger Flayer
The Spider Moondoggie Iger

Remarks: Tight fight by the cell gate.  Fast and furious.  Moon wins.

Aposiopesis Fullstop Crowbill
VoidTraveler Seetan Kidney Burster
Pong VoidTraveler Seetan

Remarks:

Final Round:

Moondoggie Iger Flayer
VoidTraveler Seetan Kidney Burster
Cigi Sahara Crowbill
Balanced War
1
2
3

Remarks: Moondoggie focused on Cigi while Void kept his distance for the most part, fending off Cigi whenever she turned her attention him.  Eventually, Void took out his slugthrower, shooting a spray of metal at Cigi.  To her credit, she evaded his fire but not the spike traps which brought her down.  Finally, Void and Moon clashed viciously.  Their fight took them into one of the pits.  Moondoggie climbed out victorious.
