Below is a short summary of the latest Community Meeting, followed by its chat logs – which have been gently edited for formatting, to put questions and answers in bold for easy skimming, and to omit greetings and farewells and other such asides. Meetings are hosted by Estate owner NeoBokrug Elytis at 2:00 pm on the first Saturday of every month at The Potato Farm in The Wastelands, and the discussion is typically divided into three main topics: Estate, Game, and Roleplay & Events. Everyone is welcome to attend!
ESTATE:
Region Rebuild Updates!
➳ North Yard’s rebuild is in progress now: Neo and Ccindy are working on new terraforming, cliffs, and infrastructure to increase navigability.
➳ It may even have underwater content!
➳ Burnt Oak is also getting a slight tune-up: the Drive-In has been rotated to straddle the Burnt Oak / North Yard border, allowing more people to sit together.
➳ Once North Yard is complete – likely by mid-September – Neo will begin renovating the Sand Seas.
➳ North Yard’s parcels will become smaller and The Sand Seas’ will become larger; North Yard will get more infrastructure and the Sand Seas will have less.
➳ The details of the pricing structure changes haven’t been announced yet, however.
➳ Occupancy has held surprisingly stable over the summer.
➳ Neo has been diving into the Tier Meter code and has begun working on a Payment Date Synchronization option.
➳ He may also create a new “life ring” object that would allow anyone to pay toward the meter of someone who is overdue.
➳ Northgate is still being worked on, with about the same priority as the other regions.
GAME:
➳ For the moment, since several potion locations are gone, Aeg only gives Mushroom Quests. Gather ye Purples while ye may.
➳ Not many game updates due to vacation and the primacy of Estate stuff.
➳ Neo has begun thinking Halloween Quest thoughts, however…
ROLEPLAY & EVENTS:
➳ The RONDYVOO, an all-day semi-in-character traders’ festival, will return to Hambone Slough on Saturday, September 16! Salvage Auction, Knucklehead Bouts, a Varmint Hunt, Weird Beard Contest, Storytelling, Live Music, and other such things are likely to occur.
➳ Bartleby the storyteller should be back around for a while before and after the Rondy – hopefully…
➳ Apo appears to be missing. At a recent Booze & Blather, Malice gave her a dose of mushroom powder, packed some survival gear for her, and they set off for the Deep Tunnels of The Junkyard – which may not even exist. They were only supposed to be gone a couple days…
➳ Drifter has shown some longer-form films in special Friday showings. Thus far: Parts I and II of THE HUMAN CONDITION, with Part III coming soon.
➳ Trigger Treat, The Wastelands’ Halloween party, will take place on Saturday, October 28! Anyone interested in DJing can contact Apo.
➳ Trick-Or-Treat scripts will work again this October 30-November 1 for any landowner who wants to give out goodies at their parcel.
➳ The Long Night, and the Black Rider, will also return on October 31.
➳ There’s still no fixed schedule for Fight Night.

NeoBokrug Elytis: Those categories are Land & Estate, The Game, and RP & Events. The last being more of an open floor for all those who RP and host events to let people know what’s going on soon, or has happened.
NeoBokrug Elytis: Starting with Land & Estate…
NeoBokrug Elytis: Occupancy has remained really stable this summer, I know things will change here soon — but I have a few plans to address that. We’ll see how effective they are. :)

NeoBokrug Elytis: Part of that overhaul is to straddle the Burnt Oak Drive-In across the borders of Burnt Oak and North Yard, so that any “overflow” in showings can also be nearby. :)

NeoBokrug Elytis: I do know that it will be a little more expensive than the prim-per-prim rate of the old region. But parcels won’t be overwhelmingly large anymore, and we’ve allocated 100LI for infrastructure, so we can do some really nice things for the region.

NeoBokrug Elytis: Inversely, The Sand Seas will have less infrastructure LI, and landmarks; but folks will be able to build their own landmarks.

NeoBokrug Elytis: The reasons I wanted to change all these is because LL/SL changed the link limit from 52 meters to 64 meters. Which was a gigantic limiting factor for The Sand Seas. I know another 12 meters doesn’t sound like a lot — but it’s huge when you’re trying to anchor stuff.

NeoBokrug Elytis: I am still working on the Tier-Sync-Payment thing. Last month a very old friend cashed in a favor I owed them, so I was in the tier system working on that in general. I think on Monday I’ll take a stab at making it work.

II. THE GAME
NeoBokrug Elytis: I disabled Aegs potion quest last month, because we’re updating a few regions. These upcoming weeks I will be adding potion quest destinations as we decorate the spaces, and going back across Malady Bog to add a few.
